The FAP Research Initiative funds bold ideas with the potential to transform care for individuals and families affected by Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP). We support research that advances diagnostics, early detection, prevention, and treatment of this rare inherited syndrome.

FAP Investigator Award

Status: Open for applications

This award is intended for well-developed grant proposals with preliminary data. This award will be for up to $450,000 over up to three years, with a maximum yearly budget of $150,000.

Opening of applications: April 1, 2026
Letter of Intent due date: July 1, 2026
Application due date: August 15, 2026
Notification of grant awardees: No later than October 1, 2026


FAP Pilot Award

Status: Open for applications

This award is intended for smaller projects that may be high-risk and that may not have associated preliminary data. This award will be for up to $100,000 over up to two years, with a maximum yearly budget of $50,000.This award is intended for well-developed grant proposals with preliminary data. This award will be for up to $450,000 over up to three years, with a maximum yearly budget of $150,000.

Opening of applications: April 1, 2026
Letter of Intent due date: July 1, 2026
Application due date: August 15, 2026
Notification of grant awardees: No later than October 1, 2026
